There are nearly 12,000 certified PAs who have previously or are actively serving in the U.S. armed services (NCCPA, 2022). More than 67% are veterans or retired veterans and 53% served in the U.S. Army (NCCPA, 2022). Here at GW, we value our Veteran and military students' contributions to the student body and the PA profession. Each year, over 1,000 Veterans enroll in graduate programs at GW, including the PA Program. Nearly 20% of our core PA faculty have served in multiple branches of the armed services and with extensive combat experience.
