Academic Advising

All PA and PA/MPH students are assigned an academic advisor who is a PA program faculty member. Students and faculty meet at least twice per semester throughout the program to ensure students have access to resources and strategies that promote student success. Faculty advisors provide professional mentorship as well. 

Himmelfarb Library

The Himmelfarb Library offers many resources that are valuable to PA students including access to e-Books through Access Medicine and Clinical Key as well as 4,000 journals. In addition to reserving books and obtaining articles through interlibrary loan, the following library services which are free to students, faculty and staff include:

Information Technology Support

Division of Information Technology (DIT) provides information and support to all GW students 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call (202) 994-GWIT (4948) or email ithelp@gwu.edu.

Office of Student Support (OSS)

The Office of Student Support offers a wide range of services ranging from time management strategies to academic tutoring. The OSS offers learning specialist assessment to students are struggling academically. These services are free to charge to GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences students. 

Disability Support Services (DSS)

Disability Support Services provides resources and support for students who request accommodation under the Americans with Disability Act.  The office works in collaboration with PA faculty to facilitate recognition and resources for accommodation of learning differences. It is recommended that students who seek accommodation contact this office in advance of each semester to initiate the request. Please review the PA Program Technical Standards if you have questions about specific accommodations.
