Welcome to the GW PA Program

After visiting the pages, the GW PA Program  hopes that you will come away with an understanding about what makes our program special and why it is recognized as one of the best in the United States.

Housed within the Department of PA Studies, the Physician Assistant Program educates students to be outstanding PAs with strong foundations in primary care and public health. With proximity to the United States Congress, the White House, and many major medical professional organizations, the program provides an unique opportunity to witness the democratic process and observe its effect on healthcare policies and delivery in the United States.

The George Washington University Physician Assistant Program's mission is to prepare physician assistants who demonstrate clinical excellence; embrace diversity, equity and inclusion; advocate for their patients; lead and advance the profession; and serve their communities.

The George Washington University Physician Assistant Program will be a preeminent leader in physician assistant education. Through shared transformative experiences and discovery, our students, alumni, and faculty will emerge as leaders committed to health equity and quality care for all.
